The Maid's Room (12-Oct-2013)|
Director: Michael Walker
Writer: Michael Walker
An immigrant maid working for a rich American family experiences the seedy underbelly of privilege when she witnesses a horrible crime.
Colombian immigrant Drina takes a job working as a maid for the Crawfords, a wealthy family in need of hired help at their weekend home in the Hamptons. What seems to be an easy enough (if underpaid) gig turns terrifying when Drina happens upon disquieting trinkets of their privilege and evidence that Crawford progeny Brandon got into Princeton thanks to nepotism; shortly thereafter, Brandon commits a horrible crime, throwing Drina into an awful predicament when she is forced to weigh her moral compass against the Crawford family's intent to buy Brandon out of trouble.
