Wracked with guilt regarding the reputation of his father, fighter pilot Topper Harley has withdrawn from society to live in relative isolation on an Indian reservation. Topper is cajoled into returning for an important mission, but faces unexpected challenges and a rival. Funny spoof of Top Gun (1986) and elements of numerous other films. Followed by sequel Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993).
