Ajay Devgn is Bajirao Singham, a well-loved village police officer, who humiliates Jaykant Shikre, a crime lord based in Goa; Shikre pulls strings and has Singham transferred to Goa to exact slow revenge from him. His predecessor was badgered into suicide. To make matters worse, Shikre begins to consolidate his power by winning election to Parliament. Everything you want from a Bollywood action film, though the songs tend to the merely adequate. Definite crowd-pleaser. Remake of a Tamil film, Singam (2010).
