ABSTRACT
Marion Cotillard is Edith Piaf, famous French singer whose career as a cabaret performer lasting up until her untimely death would bring her international fame and acclaim. Told out of chronological order, viewers are treated to a dramatization of her early years spent with a father away at war and a mother working in a brothel, her discovery and overnight rise to fame as a French national icon, and an adulthood marked by hard living, wild romances, and threats made against her by parties tied to organized crime.
