ABSTRACT
Rachel Stein, a young Jewish woman living in the Netherlands during World War II, flees her hideout when it is bombed during a conflict. A bid to join the anti-Nazi resistance is abruptly ended when the boat she escapes to is ambushed by Germans, killing everyone aboard except her; rescued by still another resistance group, Rachel is asked to seduce a key Gestapo officer to win his trust and infiltrate his office, heading down a treacherous road fraught with peril and untrustworthy associates as she sets about attempting to accomplish her objective.
