Based on the English folk tale of the same name, Robin Hood follows common archer Robin Longstride's journey from faceless member of Richard the Lionheart's army to political enemy of King John following Richard's demise, touching upon his feats of strength and desires for greater social justice than those afforded by the ruling class of 13th-century English society.
