ABSTRACT
Drew is a talented young runner from a broken home, excelling at track despite his impoverished background and the loss of his father at an early age; Coleman is his reclusive, angry trainer, placing him through an unconventional Karate Kid-style regimen designed to make him the king of his sport. The pair strike up a solid working relationship designed to save one another from their respective demons, one that blossoms around Drew's grueling quest to run a four-minute mile.
