ABSTRACT
Ivan is a do-gooder priest at a rural church, priding himself on his ability to reform troubled souls as part of what he sees as a great war against Satan. His church, fashioning itself as a "halfway house" of sorts for convicts about to be released back into society, "adopts" brutish neo-Nazi Adam; the violent reactionary sets about attempting to introduce Ivan to the harsh truths of existence in the modern world, all while Ivan naively works to help Adam realize his true potential.
