ABSTRACT
Frank Fowler, handsome young man and only child, spends his summer in his native Maine with his family, working as a lobster fisherman before shipping off to college in the fall. Frank is also pursuing a romance with Natalie, an attractive mother and soon-to-be divorcee whose husband Richard's feelings of resentment towards Frank drive the young man's existence to a terrible end that will forever impact the lives of his parents and others around him.
