Supposed glamour photographer Mark Lewis lures vulnerable women and then murders them on camera. The film, still deeply disturbing today, was responsible for the immediate death of Michael Powell's distinguished career. Removed from the box office after less than a week, it languished until 1979 when it was shown at the 1979 New York Film Festival.
