Film adaptation of a Stephen King novel tells the tale of a group of campers' encounter with strange extraterrestrial lifeforms plaguing a small town.

ABSTRACT
Beaver, Henry, Jonesy, and Pete are four telepathic friends embarking on their annual camping trip into the Maine woodlands when a freak blizzard occurs, leading them to cross paths with an ill stranger by the name of Rick McCarthy who appears to be suffering from some form of parasite. A worm excreted by Rick shortly before his gruesome death in their cabin's bathroom attacks and kills Beaver, plunging the rest of the group plus a military unit assigned to quarantine the area into a frightening ordeal fighting against vicious parasites of extraterrestrial origin.
