ABSTRACT
Sequel to Shaft (1971). John Shaft, cool-cat police detective and nephew of the earlier Shaft film's protagonist of the same name, prowls the streets of New York City with a strong moral compass and eye for tough justice. An arrest of well-heeled Walter Wade, Jr. following a racially-motivated killing falls through when a key witness disappears and Wade jumps bail for Europe; two years on, with Wade back in America to face trial, Shaft must fight against long odds brought about by his adversary's connections to track down the wanted witness and get his man.
