Fourth installment in the Underworld franchise depicts Selene's attempts to reconcile herself with humans' discoveries of the vampire and lycan clans and ensuing attempts to exterminate the both of them.

ABSTRACT
Nine days after the deaths of Alexander, Marcus, and William in the previous film, humans initiated a planet-wide military operation known as "The Purge" to eliminate all extant vampires and lycans, succeeding at taking a good deal hostage and forcing the rest underground. Twelve years later, Selene, who has been kept in cryogenic stasis by the victorious humans since the earliest days of the Purge as a test subject, is freed by a fellow subject and unleashed upon a world in which ninety-five percent of the vampire race has been exterminated with revenge at the forefront of her mind, guided by visions that she believes to be tied to her hybrid vampire-lycan love interest.
