A field mouse's son becomes ill, and the widowed Mrs. Brisby must seek assistance from an unlikely source, the rats of NIMH. Adaptation of the Newbury Medal-winning children's book, focusing primarily on the mouse thread of the book. Due to the complexity, older children and adults will most appreciate the story. First film made after Don Bluth and a group of animators abandoned Disney; it equals or exceeds nearly every Disney production since the 1950s.
