ABSTRACT
Kat Connors, seventeen-year old girl on the cusp of sexual maturity in a sheltered household, wakes up one morning to learn that mother Eve has disappeared without a trace. Initially unmoved by this strange turn of events, Kat eschews the idea of turning to shiftless father Brock for emotional support in favor of simply continuing on with her life; she is forced to face uncomfortable truths about Eve's disappearance as time marches on and she comes into her own as a young adult.
