Bank robbers Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid contemplate fleeing to Bolivia, but the rest of their Hole in the Wall Gang convince them to rob the Union Pacific Overland. Their success brings the ire of the railroad, which hires a posse specifically to kill them. The pair actually flee to Bolivia, but find it difficult to change their ways. Won Oscars for Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Score, and Best Original Song ("Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head"); additionally received nominations for Best Director, Best Picture and Best Sound. Entered 2003 into the National Film Registry.
