ABSTRACT
John E. du Pont, handsomely wealthy heir to the du Pont fortune burned by his numerous failures in life and eager to please his overbearing mother, establishes a world-class wrestler's training facility with a view to training American wrestlers for the Summer Olympics. du Pont's success-obsessed working relationship with Olympian Mark Schultz and older brother Dave results in a terrible end when he succumbs to delusions brought about by his worsening paranoid schizophrenia.
