Lionel Barrymore plays Peter Grimm, recently deceased and now ghost, who when alive arranged a marriage between his ward Catherine and his nephew, Allen Vincent, instead of the man she loves. But after his death Grimm learns that Vincent is not the quality of man he thought, and must find a way to make amends.
