Alien seed pods land near San Francisco, appearing as unusual plants. Elizabeth Driscoll notices her boyfriend, Geoffrey Howell, appears superficially the same but lacks emotion; she suspects he is a different person entirely. Others start noticing similar replacements; many seem brainless but worryingly, some are smarter. Good remake of the classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), less political and more paranoid.
