A suburban family becomes the unsettling subject of a photo lab employee's fast-growing obsessions.

ABSTRACT
Sy Parrish, a lonely, pitiable middle-aged man, runs the one-hour photo lab at a SavMart discount shopping center, taking great pride in his work and developing a rapport with various customers through his processing of their photos. One family in particular, the Yorkins -- comprising young husband and wife Will and Nina and adolescent son Jake -- becomes the subject of Sy's fascination, a fixation growing into a chilling obsession when his fantasizing about becoming their beloved "Uncle Sy" leads to an ill-advised attempt to enter their private lives.
