Drag queens Mitzi Del Bra and Felicia Jollygoodfellow, and transsexual Bernadette Basinger travel through the Australian outback from Sydney to a cabaret club in Alice Springs aboard their bus Priscilla, which unhelpfully breaks down mid-journey. A sympathetic mechanic, Bob, fixes the now-lavender behemoth and escorts them the remainder of the way. Low-budget masterpiece. Won an Oscar for Best Costume Design.
