An Australian rancher hires Montana sharpshooter and former Confederate officer Matt Quigley to help eradicate dingoes, but once arriving find that the dingoes are actually Aborigines. Refusing, the rancher has Quigley and an unbalanced woman "Crazy" Cora thrown into the outback to die. Very good fit for Tom Selleck; Steve McQueen was originally envisioned as the protagonist, but his illness shelved production for over a decade.
