Film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name follows a reunion between high school sweethearts after years spent going their separate ways.

ABSTRACT
Shy, bookish high schooler Dawson moves on from sweetheart Amanda to seek a life as a blue-collar laborer despite his academic standing; Amanda, on the other hand, matures into a wealthy housewife mired in an unhappy marriage to an abusive alcoholic husband. Twenty years pass before the pair reunite in their small hometown, forced to choose between their current lives and still-present feelings for one another.
