Police detective Jack Cates has Reggie Hammond released from jail early to help him track down the Iceman, an elusive drug lord who seems to have ties in the highest levels of the police department. If they can't find the Iceman, Cates himself be facing charges. Sequel to and essentially a remake of 48 Hrs. (1982), but with considerably more action. By any measure, a lost opportunity.
