ABSTRACT
Danny Balint, a young Jewish man expelled from his Hebrew school for questioning the Torah and Old Testament, channels his confusion and anger into a most unusual personal transformation into a neo-Nazi skinhead. Inspired by true events, The Believer follows Balint -- developing over time into an important member of his reactionary collective -- as he pursues love with fellow group member Carla and works to prevent a journalist from revealing the true nature of his past identity.
