REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 20-May-2006) I saw this movie when was
first released. It was about the politics of being a cop with a strong
emphisis on police corruption. How your career could be changed if you
didn't kiss the right asses or to an abrupt end if you fuck with the
wrong people. Like what happened to the character that Robert Blake
played. He didn't kiss ass so he was demoted and put on road patrol on
a blue Harley Electra Glide, thus the name of the movie. The movie
ended when Blake pulled over a bus load of hippies because there was
something very wrong about them. Blake couldn't find any stoners
because the stash was not in plain sight. For those who aren't in the
know there was a time in America when the cops couldn't tear your car
apart because they have a hunch or you give them a reason to think you
are a stoner or anything else for that matter. Blake forgot to give the
driver his license back and went roaring off to catch the van to return
the license. The hippies figured the jig was up and blew blake away
with a shogun. For Harley lovers like myself it was heart breaking to
see what happened to the blue Electra Glide. The morol of the story is
that it doesn't pay to be a nice guy.
