Alan Parrish and his friend Sarah are playing board game "Jumanji" in 1969; Alan disappears into a trans-dimensional portal beyond which lies a jungle world. 26 years later, Peter and Judy play the same game and reopen the portal, encountering the now-adult Alan still trapped, as well as numerous exotic jungle animals which infiltrate their house. Together with Sarah the four of them must finish the game if they have any hope of ending the jungle incursion.
