Sequel to the 1982 sci-fi romp follows the original film's protagonist's son as he is unintentionally transported to the virtual reality world his father had disappeared into twenty years earlier.

Sequel to TRON (1982). In 2009, Sam Flynn, primary shareholder of ENCOM International and son of the missing Kevin Flynn, is asked by ENCOM executive Alan Bradley to look into a message broadcasting out of the now-closed video arcade where Kevin had disappeared two decades earlier. Upon arriving to investigate the strange message, Sam is transported to "The Grid", where he learns the truth behind his father's disappearance and is asked to join a team tasked with stopping a nefarious computer program from unleashing chaos on the real world.
