ABSTRACT
Marseille's storied Bar de la Marine plays host to Marius, son of the restaurant's proprietor with dreams of a life at sea. Complicating Marius' dream is Fanny, an attractive young shellfish saleswoman whose revealed affection towards our young man forces him to choose between her love and the call of open waters when a chance to act on his dream comes along.
