The Road to Hong Kong (27-Apr-1962)

Director: Norman Panama

Writers: Norman Panama; Melvin Frank

Music Composed and Conducted by: Robert Farnon

Producer: Melvin Frank

Keywords: Musical Comedy, Amnesia, Secret Formula

Crosby and Hope are Harry Turner and Chester Babcock, con men selling a dubious flying machine. A mishap has Chester losing his memory, cured by a Tibetan herb with the side effect of providing an eidetic memory. Unfortunately he remembers a secret formula, one very much wanted by the conspiratorial Third Echelon organization. Final "Road" movie, and the only one not produced by Paramount. Dorothy Lamour has been replaced by the relatively uninteresting Joan Collins as their love interest, though she appears in a cameo.
