Director: Ivan Reitman

Writers: Len Blum; Dan Goldberg; Harold Ramis

Music by: Elmer Bernstein

Producers: Ivan Reitman; Dan Goldberg

Keywords: Comedy, Boot Camp

Frustrated cabbie John Winger (Bill Murray) loses his job, girlfriend and apartment; he and Russell Ziskey (Harold Ramis), a terrifically awful ESL teacher, join the Army together. They are joined by Ox (John Candy), facing boot camp under perhaps the toughest drill instructor of all time. The Army further decides this is the unit of recruits to test their new "Urban Assault Vehicle", looking suspiciously like an RV. One of the funniest comedies of all time; not for children.

Review by jimmmm (posted on 20-May-2005)

I found the film to be exactly what it was portrayed as; a fun stab at the militay and a reminder that we will find life in all aspects of our day; even if we are in the bottom stripe of the Army. A good film, and I recommend it to any and all as a film of laughter and reminders of our own times in the Military.
