A young boy from a fractured home becomes party to the skinhead subculture of early-1980s working-class England.

ABSTRACT
Shaun is a twelve-year old boy with an uncertain future, dealing with the stresses of a broken home (thanks to his mother's emotional problems and father's death fighting in the Falklands War) and a less-than-desirable personal life amidst the turmoil of 1983 Margaret Thatcher-ruled England. Salvation seemingly arrives for young Shaun when a group of skinheads met after school one day become his family of sorts, taking him under their wing and ushering him into their world as he gets to experience the highs, lows, and troubles associated with their subculture firsthand.
