A chance encounter with a talent agent has Kermit the Frog embark on a road trip to Hollywood to pursue fame and fortune; along the way meeting other muppets and assorted guest stars. Also interested is Doc Hopper, who would like Kermit to help promote his fried frog leg franchise. Enjoyable by both children and adults. Received Oscar nominations for Best Original Song "The Rainbow Connection", and for Best Song Score. Received also a Hugo nomination for Best Dramatic Presentation. Entered 2009 into the National Film Registry.
