Film adaptation of the Berke Breathed book of the same name follows a young boy's mission to save his mother from a race of mom-less Martians.

ABSTRACT
Milo, a nine-year old boy who delights in defying the orders of his homemaking mother and hard-working father, engages in a heated altercation following his father's departure for a business trip that ends with his wish for a life without a mother. Soon enough, Milo gets his wish in a bad way when Martians come to Earth and abduct his mother as part of a plan to strip her of her "mom-ness" to rear their own young, an event that leads the young boy to stow away on a spaceship to rescue her. Harshly criticized by critics and moviegoers alike for its "uncanny valley"-traversing animation and utilization of outmoded gender roles, Mars Needs Moms bombed at the box office and led to the closure of co-producer Robert Zemeckis's ImageMovers Digital studio.
