ABSTRACT
Professional safecracker Nick Wells decides to retire from his career due to his advancing age and a close call with the law, favoring a retirement spent presiding over his Montreal jazz club with girlfriend Diane in tow. Everything seems to be in order for old Nick until associate Max approaches him with a tantalizing offer, drawing him into a high-stakes plot to pilfer a valuable French scepter from a customs house alongside Jack Teller, a young thief harboring a take-no-prisoners approach.
