ABSTRACT
Roger Braun, an immensely successful Norwegian corporate recruiter, enjoys a life of luxury funded in part by his theft of paintings from clients. When Braun, working in concert with partner in crime Ove, learns of high-profile potential recruit Clas's ownership of a rare Rubens painting, he places all that he holds near to himself -- including the lives of his confidants -- in order to provide the greatest boost yet to his desirable existence.
