Black TV writer Pierre Delacroix suffers constant rejection on the part of his studio employer, and endeavors to get fired by pitching the New Millennium Minstrel Show, filmed in blackface. Not only does the studio greenlight the series, it becomes a tremendous hit. Ambitious and important satire with solid performances, though lacking sometimes in focus.
