Scientists clone dinosaurs by assembling fragmented DNA recovered from prehistoric amber. The billionaire funding the project populates an island theme park with their creations. To calm investor fears, two respected paleontologists and their children are invited, though without knowing details, to the island to verify safety. But after a power failure, dinosaurs roam freely. Fantastic adaptation of Crichton's novel was a runaway box office success; awarded three Oscars including Best Visual Effects.
