A lonely shopkeeper faces off against a notorious crime ring with a view to saving his only friend in the world.

ABSTRACT
Cha Tae-shik, an ex-black ops officer for South Korean intelligence tortured by memories of his violent past, lives a deliberately quiet and unassuming life in a small neighborhood, operating a pawn shop and placing his trust in a young girl named So-mi who lives next door. When So-mi's heroin-addicted mother steals drugs from a feared crime syndicate and pawns a camera bag containing the illicit product on an unwitting Tae-shik, however, he is involuntarily drawn back into a situation resembling the past he has tried so hard to escape, performing battle against a crew of thugs and other undesirable elements of society in order to save the threatened life of his innocent young friend.
