The reason I gave this movie such a low rating was that when I saw it as a child, it scared the living shit out of me. I had nightmares of waking up bald, not to mention the scream Mike lets out when he visits the abandoned mansion. Although this is "supposed" to be a children's film, I found myself remembering bits and pieces of it--after I had initially seen it--as if it were from a dream. The plot is weird and I consider myself permanently scarred.
