ABSTRACT
Sequel to Basic Instinct (1992). Bombshell crime novelist Catherine Tramell, living in London following the events of Basic Instinct, finds herself on the wrong side of the law once more when she is implicated in the drowning death of her football-playing celebrity boyfriend. Psychoanalyst Michael Glass is tasked with evaluating Tramell's condition at the behest of Scotland Yard; eager to avoid paying a price for her misdeeds once more, Catherine uses her natural charm and powers of manipulation to seduce the smitten Michael, blurring the lines between doctor and patient as she works her way into his heart despite his increasingly obsessive attempts to prove her guilt.
