ABSTRACT
Arian and Ernest, two young American men inspired by political science professor Stephen Malley's call to service, choose to serve their country at war in Afghanistan; both are caught up in a tragic, and complicated, incident behind enemy lines. Jasper Irving, a handsome young Senator with Presidential ambitions, plans to give an explosive interview to a muckraking television journalist about the incident, revealing ties and connections between various individuals from seemingly unrelated backgrounds in the United States.
