Film adaptation of the 1977 novel of the same name follows a whimsical bond between a struggling boy and the new girl at his school.

ABSTRACT
Jess Aarons, a troubled young man struggling through middle school, finds his dreams of becoming his school's fastest runner dashed when "new girl" Leslie Burke enters an "all-boys" competition and leaves the other participants, Jess included, in the dust. The pair form an unlikely friendship in spite of their extensive differences after that race, creating a mystical world known as "Terabithia" that enables Jess to stand on his own two feet and become a happier, confident member of society.
