A man determined to erase memories of an unhappy relationship finds himself embarking on an unexpectedly emotional journey.

ABSTRACT
In the near future, an experimental mind-altering procedure devised by Dr. Howard Mierzwiak erases memories of a once-happy romantic relationship gone sour belonging to a woman by the name of Clementine Kruczynski. Informed of his ex-girlfriend's decision, an unhappy Joel Barish elects to undergo the same procedure, only to find himself stumbling down a melodramatic road to save his happy memories after Mierzwiak's hapless staffers start their irreversible work on his head.
