ABSTRACT
Ponyo is a precocious anthropomorphic goldfish princess, enjoying life as nautical royalty on account of her father being the king of the sea. A friendship formed with five-year old Sosuke imbues Ponyo with a desire to become human, leading to problems when she utilizes the power of her father's magic to get her wish and attempts to become a part of Sosuke's family.
