ABSTRACT
Sam Bicke, an office-supply salesman with a tanking career and unhappy marriage staring him in the face, grows obsessed with the idea of attaining infamy at any cost. When a loan needed to start a "tire shop on wheels" enterprise with friend Bonny Simmons is rejected by (broken link, Richard Nixon)'s small-business administration, Bicke trains his guns squarely on the President, channeling his frustration into a doomed assassination attempt dramatized in The Assassination of Richard Nixon.
