ABSTRACT
Four-year old Boston child Amanda McCready disappears without a trace one day, bringing private detectives Angie Gennaro and Patrick Kenzie onto the scene after her aunt hires them in response to a lack of swift action from local authorities. Danger and drama await the street-smart pair in equal measure as they work to solve a type of crime they have little experience dealing with while encountering a cast of unsavory figures populating Boston's criminal underworld.
