REVIEWS Review by Anonymous (posted on 4-May-2008) Being a golden oldie, this movie from my late teenage years has always stayed in my mind. It portrayed the problems and lifestyle of those financially poor families who made moonshine and became whiskey runners to make money for themselves and their families to live on. It also portrayed the criminal side of their activities as the righteous side of what was leflt of the prohibition era was playing out in those states during those years. As was the case in those years Robert Mitchem did an excellent job of acting his role in the movie. I am surprised it wasn't rated higher and hasn't been made into a video tape or DVD that so many other old movies have been. People could have and would enjoy the history side of the movie as well as the drama and action. If there is a copy available please send me the information on how to obtain one. I search the racks in every store when they have old movies reproduced. Thank you.
