A soldier dumped by his girlfriend whilst serving overseas hatches a plan to win their relationship back.

ABSTRACT
Dalton Joiner, a soldier in the Vietnam War, is dumped by the love of his life in the midst of a tour of duty. Desperate to fall back in the good graces of his sweetheart, who has taken to calling herself "Juniper" and teamed up with a cadre of anti-war activists, Joiner launches a scheme with fellow soldier Mickey Wright to go AWOL, head back to America, and attempt to win her back in person.
