A baby circus elephant receives ridicule for his enormous ears; nicknamed "Dumbo" by the other elephants, he is befriended by Timothy Q. Mouse, who arranges for him to be a key part of an upcoming act. While that goes badly, a solution to Dumbo's predicament comes most unexpectedly. Feature-length animated Walt Disney movie, made on a lower budget than its peers but every bit as emotionally powerful. Won Oscar for Best Score; received a nomination for Best Original Song, "Baby Mine."
